They can increase thiamine levels in the brain so they have a mild stimulant effect. Sulbutiamine is often used for people who are feeling tired to promote health. The drug is indicated for use in the treatment of temporary episodes of fatigue in adults (over 15 years of age). Arcalion is contraindicated for people with hypersensitivity to sulbutiamine or other excipients contained in the drug.
